Olga Ząbroń
She was born in 1985 in Kraków. Graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She defended her diploma with honours in Prof. Leszek Misiak's studio. She was a scholarship holder at the Athens School of Fine Arts in Greece (2008-2009). Since 2011, she has been employed at her home department, currently as a professor at the university.
From 2013 to 2018 she participated in the International Plein-Air for Artists using the Language of Geometry by Dr. Bożena Kowalska.
She is the winner of the 10th Triennale of Polish Contemporary Drawing in Lubaczów (2nd Prize) and the 4th Leon Wyczółkowski National Painting Competition (honorable mention) in 2020 and a finalist in national competitions including: 2022 - Baltic Mini Textile Gdynia, 2020 - International Biennale of Miniature Art, Częstochowa 2020; 2019 - 14th International Autumn Salon of Art, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski / Triennale of Small Painting Forms, Toruń / Triennale of Drawing Wrocław; 2016 - 25th Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting, Szczecin 2016 / 1st Pomeranian Biennale of Young Art, Sopot 2016; 2012 - "Fresh Blood" 2nd Review of Young Art, Wrocław; 2011 - "Promotions" National Review of Young Painting, Legnica.
She works in the field of painting, drawing, object art and spatial installation.
She is the author of thirteen solo exhibitions and a participant of over 120 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
She has curated exhibitions in Poland, Germany and Ukraine.
Her works can be found in the collections of Museum Jerke in Recklinghausen (Germany), Kulturhistorisches Museum Görlitz (Germany), the Mazovian Centre for Contemporary Art "Elektrownia" in Radom, the Museum of the Borderlands in Lubaczów and private collections in Poland, Germany, France, Greece and Canada.
