La Biennale di Venezia is behind us, it's already the 59th edition of this unique event, we share our impressions! The main theme of this year's edition, "Milk of Dreams", refers to the book by Leonora Carrington "Milk of Dreams" - a surrealist painter and writer, Max Ernst's partner and Picasso's friend.

The Venice Biennale is certainly one of the most prestigious artistic events both in Europe and in the world. The first edition took place in 1895, and Poland has been participating in it since 1932. Exhibitions carried out as part of the Biennale were held in the Gardini and Arsenale gardens, and the invited artists represented as many as 80 countries. For us, it was certainly one of the most interesting editions of this event. We invite you to the photo report!

The exhibition "Transforming the World" by the Roma artist Małgorzata Mirga-Tas presented in the Polish Pavilion in the Gardini Gardens was one of the most frequently visited and stood out particularly at this year's biennial. The amount of work put into its preparation was impressive, hand-sewn tapestries depicting scenes from 12 months in the life of the Roma community rebuilt the interior of the facility. From different perspectives, further details were revealed, and the ubiquitous color, structure, matter, and lines created a story about the history of the old wandering Roma as well as contemporary stories about the lives of the Artist's relatives.
