The paintings presented at the exhibition were created between 2022 and 2024. They come from two projects being implemented during this cycle time. The works from both series are characterized by a meditative aura, they are a reflection of "dynamic silence." Moved images. Structures moved. Lines in motion. Soft, melting or thin, precise. "Woven" paintings from vapors and colored mists. Images "made" of sharp lines scratches.
The works from the first cycle show gentle lines. Pulsating with a rhythmic division of the plane, they are suspended in time, stopped between appearing and disappearing. They are composed of rhythms of receding and approaching vibrating lines, the arrangements of which suggest striving for geometric order. The duality of structures visible in the compositions is a "reflection" of pulsating forces, not the symmetry of the system. Each of the images has a culmination point, an area to which the series of lines tend or from which they start. However, close connections remain at a certain distance. Tangent images. Elusive. Moved.
The works from the second cycle are composed of intersecting thin lines, "scratches" of the surface. These are the central compositions. The culmination of dynamic events, just like in the paintings from the earlier series, dissipates until they completely disappear at the edges of the plane. As the curator of the exhibition, Łukasz Leszczyński, described the latest paintings, "the compositions are extremely simple, single-minded, and thanks to the continuity of the plane, it can be said that the only element of the works are the rectangular surfaces of the canvases. Relationships are organized here primarily by changing color parameters. These changes are fluid and are achieved by differentiating the shapes and visibility of the meshes filling the interiors of the formats. Structures made of peculiar lines seemingly delaminate surfaces, tighten and loosen them, enliven and shine. The pieces seem to depict curtains, fragments of fabrics composed of "passive and active threads - warp and weft - the world of matter, vegetation and creation, life<< 1".
